The Gaming Month Ahead – July

on

Did I say last month was barren? Well it was, but compared to this month it was teeming with gaming goodies. This month sees a very slim selection of games. I’m even struggling to highlight things from the list. Xbox Live’s Summer of Arcade starts this month with Tony Hawks Pro Skater HD getting an exclusive headstart over PS3. Secret World was pushed back last month and comes out early on this month on the 3rd.

X360 and US PS3 players would have already had a chance to play the Mass Effect 3 extended ending, but europe gets it in the first week of July. The new ending promises greater exposition without making any significant changes. While this won’t please everyone, it should give a better feeling of closure on the epic sci-fi trilogy.

Kingdom Hearts gets another remake in the form of the 3DS version. I’m not sure how many times you can redo the same game, but Sqeenix is determined to find out in order to avoid making a genuine sequel.

August will start to see the build up of games as the latter half of the year approaches. For PC games the Steam Summer Sale usually takes place at the ending of June, start of July, so we should have more than enough to keep playing through the summer.
