The Gaming Month Ahead – May

While May isn’t exactly bursting with games like the previous few months, it is home to a number of very high profile titles. Chief among those is Diablo 3. The PC (and Mac) action RPG returns to devour time and keep players enthralled for the next few months at least. It’s been a long time coming and I’m sure regardless of reviews, it’s going to do very well indeed.

Other important games include Max Payne’s return after almost a decade out of action and Capcom’s ambitious console based mythical monster hunting title, Dragon’s Dogma. New copies also include demo codes for Resident Evil 6 which Capcom no doubt hope will draw in some more unlikely buyers for Dragon’s Dogma – much like Metal Gear Solid 2 did for Zone of the Enders.

PS3 enjoys a fairly good month for exclusives with the Ratchet and Clank trilogy, Starhawk and Sorcery all releasing across the weeks. Online we also see DLC for Asura’s Wrath and Sonic 2.

  • Fable Heroes (XBL)

  • TERA (PC)
  • Settlers Online (PC)
  • MUD: Motocross (PS3/X360/PC)
  • Mortal Kombat (Vita)
  • Back to the Future (PS3/Wii/PC)

  • Asura’s Wrath DLC: Lost Episode 1 (PSN/XBL)

  • Starhawk (PS3)
  • Akai Katana (X360)
  • Supremacy MMA (Vita)
  • Streetfighter X Tekken (PC)

  • Diablo (PC)

  • Asura’s Wrath DLC: Lost Episode 2 (PSN/XBL)
  • Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2

  • Max Payne 3 (PS3/X360)
  • Ratchet and Clank Trilogy (PS3)
  • Cartoon Network Punch Time (PS3/X360/Wii/3DS)
  • Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City (PC)
  • Athletics Tournament (PC/PS3/X360/Wii)

  • Ghost Recon: Future Soldier (PS3/X360)
  • Dragons Dogma (PS3/X360)
  • Mario Open Tennis (3DS)
  • DiRT Showdown (PC/PS3/X360)
  • Atelier Meruru: Apprentice of Arland (PS3)
  • Risen 2: Dark Waters (PC/PS3/X360)
  • Men in Black: Alien Crisis (PS3/X360/Wii)
  • Country Dance 2 (Wii)
  • Sorcery (PS3-Move)

There’s a few games this month that might tempt me – chief of these being Diablo 3. If anyone is considering getting Streetfighter X Tekken on PC this month, a word of warning, it’s GFWL!
