The Gaming Month Ahead in Europe – June

demons_soul

A quick look at this months release list reveals a startling balance issue – the first half of the month has hardly any releases, while the final week is absolutly chock full of new titles. That’s not to say there’s nothing of interest early on. One of the most interesting games for this month comes out out the 18th – Metal Gear Solid: Peacewalker. We already had a look at some of the exciting extras in Kojima’s next masterpiece, and we’re eagerly awaiting the release of the next chapter of the Metal Gear saga. Peacewalker as you’ll know doubt be aware (and if not, why not?) allows up to four players to team up thier PSP’s and go through the story, which is seated somewhere between the last Portable Ops and Metal Gear.

Other notable releases for this month include Demon’s Souls: Black Phantom Edition for the PS3 – and RPG as bleak and unforgiving as ever there was one. Demon’s Souls has some unique online functions, coupled with very good graphics and solid gameplay – it’s one of the better RPG offerings this gen. Also out is the proper Transformers game – War for Cybertron. While not idenitcal to the robots we all love and remember from G1 Transfomers, these are certainly closer than the unspeakables from the Micheal Bay movies. Offering 3 player online co-op and a multiplayer that allows you to create your own Transformer, we certainly have high hopes for this one.

You Sir, may wish to take a page out of Hylian’s book and finish what ya started (or what you have). Peacewalker and Demon’s Souls are instant purchases for me this month (I know I already played and completed Demon’s Souls on Import, but my brother wanted it and after I lost my save file with my old PS3 I really wanted to start again) Transformers I’m really up for, but I may wait for it to drop in price.

Madden is out this month?!?! When did this happen, I thought it was mid august :/

Anyway, I may have to feel dirty and buy Transformers, even though it’s Activision (Bastards) Also curious about Trinity Universe, though I’ll admit, only due to Disgaea characters being involved.

Indeed, Dante! As much as it pains me to tear myself away from the longing gazes of Galaxy 2 and Mega Man Zero, I plan on having just as much fun with my current gaming catalogue, without the monetary strain!

I did mean to give Demon’s Souls a try but Trinity Universe! Trinity Universe! Trinity Universe!

    Just me then?

Although, I’m torn between TU and importing Disgaea Infinite, and then there’s Persona 3 next month, and I keep meaning to go back and finish Agarest GOW as well.

Glad to see there’s someone here other than me looking forward to some more Persona action next month 😀 I’m just about wrapping up my 2nd playthrough of Persona 4 – so P3P comes in at just the right time.
