Much like last month, May’s biggest game is another 360 big hitter. Alan Wake, the long awaited psychological thriller from Remedy, best known for making Max Payne. The review embargo has yet to be lifted so there’s no telling if the game lives up to the years of promise, but it certainly looks atmospheric. Unlike April, May has a lot more goodies in her fun bag. There’s a triple helping of racing goodness on the 21st with Split/Second Velocity, Blur and the PS3 exclusive Modnation Racers all out on the 21st. While Modnation certainly appeals to a different crowd, it’ll be interesting to see the sales figures as Split/Second and Blur go head to head for sales that day.
Wii gets a double helping of goodness at the end of the month with No More Heroes 2 and Samurai Warriors 3 to look forward to; and if you’re unsure about Samurai Warriors 3, just remember Gackt says its okay and endorses your purchase (See above picture for Gackt – who provides the theme song for Samurai Warriors 3). Other notable multi platform games include Lost Planet 2, Skate 3, Alpha Protocol, UFC Undisputed 2010 and Red Dead Redemption, rounding off another amazing game for gaming and another troubled month for wallets everywhere.

Oh of course, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is out too, but since it’s probably a shameless movie tie in with the crappy Prince from Warriors Within (They say it’s sands of time, but check the clothing) and none of the daring that went into the Prince’s last outing. It also needn’t be mentioned but I expect Clash of the Titans to be a every bit as terrible as the recent remake of the 1981 classic.
